Next Event - TALK: Landscapes of Memory – Questing in the Footsteps of our Ancestors

Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May

OFFICIAL BOOK LAUNCH! At the Megalithomania Conference, Town Hall, Glastonbury. Peter and Sue give an inspiring powerpoint presentation about their new book of the same name. They present a blend of the latest research into megaliths, our prehistoric ancestors, sacred landscapes and connecting with the land on a deeper level, along with their own experiences over nearly 30 years of travelling around the world researching ancient wisdom and sacred places. Their journey will take you all over the UK, as well as Ireland, Greece, Malta, Menorca, Portugal and Brittany. Do not miss hearing of the magical experiences they had and the wisdom they have been gifted at such sacred places. The talk will end with earth-healing chants and drumming. They will also be on the stand with their books all weekend at this amazing event.

Tours of Dartmoor and Talk

Sunday 12th and Sunday 19th May

Network of Ley Hunters Dartmoor Moot. A whole week of tours of the moor’s sacred sites and a day of talks on the Saturday. Pete and Sue will lead two minibus tours on the moor during the week, to Grimspound, Haytoe, Hound Tor and Merrivale. Pete will also give a talk on his book, ‘Dartmoor Mindscapes’, on Saturday, along with other great speakers. For more details: www.networkofleyhunters.org.uk

Dartmoor Mindscapes Weekend 1

Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June

Another of Pete and Sue’s magical weekends on Dartmoor, based on Peter’s book, Dartmoor Mindscapes and Sue and Pete’s book, Albion Dreamtime. Two days of mindful walking this stunning landscape and connecting with the energies and ancestors of the moor, visiting granite tors, interacting with sacred sites such as stone circles and stone rows, plus simulacra and holed stones. Includes meditations, drumming, chanting, dowsing, silent walking, and an evening event to experience sunset. Able walkers only please. Advance booking only (these events are usually fully-booked!). £70 for weekend, or £35 per day (enquire for itinerary). Pete and Sue will be attending this fabulous two day event on the edge of Dartmoor. Talks, stands and field trips. More details to follow.

Full Moon/Midsummer Evening Event

Saturday 22nd June 2024

On Dartmoor (location to be confirmed). Sunset into darkness sacred sites event on this the longest day and the night of the full moon. Peter and Sue will guide us around a Dartmoor sacred site, before we see the sunset and the full moon rise. Includes earth-healing chants, songs, and drumming as the stars show themselves. Only £10. Advance booking only.

East Dartmoor Field Trip

Hosted by the Somerset Dowsers. Non-members welcome. A day of experiencing and dowsing some of the sacred places of east Dartmoor. Visiting Kestor, Shovel Down stone rows and longstone, the Egg Stone, and Spinster’s Rock. Will include mindful walking, dowsing, chanting and some gentle shamanic drumming. Dartmoor - Mindful Walks for Charity (1)

Tuesday 10th September 2024

This is the first of Pete and Sue’s two walks to sacred sites on the moor, as part of the week-long Dartmoor Walking Festival. This gentle, interactive morning walk will be around the Merrivale landscape, visiting Over Tor, the stone rows, stone circle, megaliths and kists. Will include dowsing, chants and gentle shamanic drumming. Only £5 (or more by optional donation) for this half-day walk – all proceeds going to Devon Air Ambulance.

The 20th Convention of Archaeology and Earth Mysteries

Talk: The Relationship between Dartmoor’s Tors and Ancient Monuments

Lunchtime talk hosted by the Devon Dowsers. Non-members welcome. NEW! Peter will give an inspiring powerpoint presentation on the close connection between stone circles and stone rows with Dartmoor’s lofty granite tors. Many stone sites are intricately positioned to enable the maximum number of tors to be visible. Several stone rows are aligned with tors on the skyline, and some tor’s mark astronomical alignments from stone settings. Nothing is located on the landscape by chance – everything is connected! Winter Full Moon on Dartmoor

Sunday 15th December 2024

(Location to be confirmed) Sunset into darkness star-gazing and sacred sites event on this the night of the December full moon. Peter and Sue will guide us around a Dartmoor sacred site by torchlight, after we see the sunset and the full moon rise; when dark enough we will hopefully do some stargazing, which Peter will guide us around the night sky. Includes chants and drumming. Only £10. Advance booking only.
